While the world is celebrating Christmas the two female dogs who were dumped by the municipal corporation of Delhi or the NGO ( sterilization centre) died of open stitches and bleeding post Sterilization on Wednesday morning.

The municipal corporation of Delhi and the Delhi government is only interested in numbers.

They will show their bosses in their annual report that xyz number of dogs have been sterilized in the last year. What an achievement? And then they will all celebrate their success.

But is it really success or achievement of the MCD?

Two female dogs have been identified by the caregivers on the roads of Delhi who have died of open stitches. What kind of operation and post operative care is this? The MCD is spending crores of rupees in the ABC programme. Are they really doing their job well? Who is responsible for the death of these two dogs?

They must have been dropped by either the MCD or the NGO ( sterilization centre) without proper post operative care. As per the protocol the dogs should be kept for at least 4 to 5 days on post operative care and then dropped at the same location from where they were picked up.

Both these conditions have not been fulfilled by the Sterilization centre / MCD

The caregivers who have reported about these casse do not recognize the dogs as they do not belong to their area. The dogs post Sterilization have been dumped by either the NGO or the MCD in the wrong location.

These are the two messages regarding the death of two dogs post Sterilization which has gone viral on Whatsapp.

"Someone reported me about this kid. She was died near 17 Park Street, Near RML Hospital, New Delhi. Can someone give a respected burial to this kid" (Reporter1 M-8708276363)

."Omg..
Another case of death due to sterelisation

I rescued this female yesterday from Gk 1 with stitches open and bleeding.
Someone had left her after sterilization without proper care
Tried to save her but couldn't
It is so shameful and callous attitude for the sterilizations centers that just to sterilize ,you pick up any dog from anywhr and relocate them with stitches open
Pls this isn't for money or just because sterilization has to be done
It's an animal who is also a living being
RIP soul" (Reporter 2 M-9868069877)

Who is responsible for the death of the two female dogs?

They had been picked by either the MCD or the NGO for sterilization. And what did they do?

Will this get reported by the MCD in it's files?

Dogs are unfortunately just a number and not a life for the government machinery.

And why are the strilization centres working in such a careless manner. Is it really all about money?

If the govt hasn't got money to pay for the post operative care then why not ask the caregivers?

The caregivers are already spending thousands from their pocket for their food and medicine. They can easily do for their sterilization.

Why doesn't the MCD bring a direct collaboration between the residential colonies (RWA) and the sterilization centres (NGO). This way the caregivers will know where their dogs have gone for Sterilization and once dropped back they can take good care of the dog. The problem of relocation and wrong drop can be easily avoided.

The caregiver's heart cries to see a dog die just because of sheer negligence of the govt staff and the NGO (sterilization centre).

If the Sterilization centes are few in number and overcrowded then why can't the govt open more sterilization centres?

Why kill these innocent souls in the name of the ABC programme.
