'Dogitization' a project started by Vandana Jain and her team who are residents of the city of Indore has become a big success and is now being implemented in other cities of Madhya Pradesh. The project started last year in 2018 and it's positive impact can be felt in the entire city in such a short span.
People in India are no different when it comes to their treatment and mindset towards stray dogs.
Indore was no different to Delhi but project Dogitization has shown wonderful results.
Vandana and her team have been bringing awareness about the ABC programme and urging people to get the dogs sterilized and vaccinated in their area apart from giving them a beautiful name, food, water and lots of love.
She says that the dogs are community dogs therefore it is the responsibility of the entire community to take care of them .
If the dog is given food, water and a secure environment he will never bite. He generally bites when he is threatened (self defence) or is irritated due to starvation and thirst
The good part of the entire project is that Dogitization has got the support of the municipal corporation of Indore.
The animal protection laws regarding dogs is the same all over India whether it be Delhi or Indore.
The law says that they cannot be killed or relocated from their place of birth. They can only get sterilized and once sterilized they have to be dropped back at the same location from where they were picked.
To bring awareness about dog laws and the ABC programme the Indore Municipal Corporation has now put the laws about dogs on its dog catching van.
This way the residents who are ignoranti and often want the dogs to be removed from their locality get to know of laws.
Please go to the link below and read all about how the dog laws are being shown by the municipal.corporation of Indore through the dog catcher van for the purpose of sterilization.

Why can't the municipal corporations of other cities of India also do the same?
What is stopping them to tell the truth about dog laws to the citizens of India?
Delhi Municipal Corporation should have taken a lead in this as it's already doing the ABC programme for almost 20 years now but where is its awareness campaign?
Do people of Delhi know about the ABC programme or vaccination?
Do RWA know that they should not drive the stray dogs away from their colony?
Do RWAs know that they should not stop people from feeding dogs and that hurting them or stopping them from feeding is an offence?
It is not only a paap (sin) to deprive a living being from food and water but also an offence in the eyes of law.
