We the undersigned call on East Sussex County Council, Lewes District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority to take urgent action to improve safety, access and parking on Ham Lane, Lewes.

Ham Lane is used by hundreds of children and families attending football matches at the Rookery 3G pitch and Priory School Fields. Dangerous on-road parking and poor pedestrian conditions mean the road is increasingly unsafe.

We urge the authorities to work together, and with the Lewes Football Foundation and Priory School, on a proper, long-term solution, including safer walking routes, better lighting and clear parking controls, before a serious accident happens.
