After over a decade of businesses keeping their food waste secret, stopping us from knowing how much food is wasted, and meaningfully tackling the problem. Now, a historic law could break the deadlock by making all businesses report their food waste publicly.

But the government disgracefully scrapped plans for this vital law, despite 99% of the public and the majority of businesses supporting it.

Now we’re fighting back. We’ve collaborated with Olivia Blake MP to get a motion tabled to save the food waste law – and thanks to over a thousand of you already contacting your MPs, a group of 28 MPs have already supported it – including from Labour, the Green Party, the SNP and the Lib Dems.
