As a longterm resident of folkestone, i’ve learned the hard way that there really is an apalling lack of places to buy a half-decent pair of flip flop’s in this part of kent.

With summer just round the corner, we need to tackle this problem before it becomes a major issue.

The pairs in primark and other large corperations are lowquality and rarely fit, meanwhile independant buisnesses -through no fault of their own- tend not to sell them.

Dear the council: let’s insure everyone has a pair of flip flop’s this summer. Why not provide financial incentive’s for buisnesses to craft and sell flip flop’s? Or have a specialised stall set up at the harbour?

Thanks for considering

Your humble resident of folkestone
