I've always held the belief that everyone, including the financially challenged, should have simple and free access to necessary products. The same way we can obtain toilet paper at no charge in public restrooms is how accessible feminine hygiene products should be.

It's not a secret that a large portion of the population lacks adequate access to these basic items. Approximately 1 in 4 women in the U.S. struggles with period poverty, being unable to afford menstrual products (Source: "Menstrual Equity For All Act", U.S. Congress, 2021). The lack of such products can contribute to health issues and hampers the daily lives of those affected.

The world has seen great strides in this area. In Scotland, for instance, sanitary products have been made free in a bid to fight period poverty (Source: BBC News, 2020). This initiatives rights the wrong of the higher cost of being a woman and the stigma associated with discussing such issues.
