Women are the backbone of the world.

Men would not be where they are today if it were not for the strong women who helped them get to where they are now. But the top is not a place just for men. Success, validation, and appreciation for one’s work are not just for men. Often women have been left in the shadows, spoken over, and stripped of their rights despite all they have done for the men. Although things are changing in more developed countries, there are still women out there who are not given equal educational, political, medicinal, and professional rights as men are. Women should be celebrated and remembered every day for the sacrifices and care they have given to put us forward. All women from queer, trans, and cis. They all have a value and role to play in the everyday lives of men and each other. 

Every day is already International Men's Day, so we should take it for ourselves as well.
