The Movement Continues Today marks a major milestone in our effort to improve electric scooter safety. I was interviewed by KMBC 9 News reporter Abigail Klinkerman regarding our petition and the growing conversation surrounding electric scooter safety. Seeing this issue receive media attention is an important step toward raising awareness and encouraging meaningful action. Additionally, Kansas City has passed new regulations aimed at increasing safety and expanding education for e-bikes, scooters, and electric skateboards. While this is encouraging progress, our work is far from over. From the beginning, this petition has been about protecting riders and preventing injuries through greater awareness, education, and stronger safety standards. What started as one voice sharing a personal experience has grown into a movement supported by people who believe safety should come first. Now, our focus is on expanding this conversation beyond city limits. We will continue advocating for stronger safety measures, education, and awareness at the state level, so that riders across Missouri can benefit from consistent protections and safety initiatives. Every signature, share, and message has helped bring us to this point. Together, we have shown that people are paying attention and that change is possible when communities come together.
