Every other religion has official holidays in the North Haven school system, but that is not the case for Muslim people. People that celebrate Eid can take the day off from school but the downside of this is that it counts as an absence and they have to make up work for the day they missed while celebrating it. Even though they are a minority in the school system, they still deserve a holiday just like everyone else. Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha are both important holidays for Muslim people and they should be respected by the school district and treated as a holiday where everyone should get a day off.
