You signed because you believe young people should be part of the solution

Thank you for standing with us and signing the Ecological Literacy petition.
Your support is enabling a growing movement calling for deeper environmental understanding, stronger connection to nature, and meaningful pathways for young people to be part of shaping Aotearoa’s future.
Today, we wanted to share some exciting news.
Girls who Grow has been selected into the first round of the global Ma Earth crowdfunding campaign — chosen from more than 800 applications across 101 countries.
This means that from 1–21 July, we will have the opportunity to raise funds — with donations matched from a global funding pool — to support the next generation of young female environmental leaders.
Our campaign is focused on Unlocking young women’s Imaginations: Designing a climate positive future — creating opportunities for young women to work alongside farmers, scientists, iwi and environmental leaders to solve real challenges in waterways, biodiversity, food systems and climate resilience.
This is the kind of work your petition signature supports.
Because ecological literacy is not just about knowledge.
It’s about connection. Belonging. Action.
And ensuring young people have a seat in shaping the future.
Over the next month, we’ll be building towards launch.
Here’s how you can support:
- Save the date: Campaign launches 1 July
- Stay connected: We’ll send the campaign link soon
- Keep sharing the petition: Every signature strengthens the call for change
- Tell your networks: More people need to know what’s possible
Thank you for being part of this.
