I am currently in LCA (Leaving Cert Applied) and I think it’s a good idea to make driving as a subject in school I want to become a coach driver in the future and I think it should be mandatory to do car licenses at the start but then make it a optional subject to be able to do bus & truck as it’s a huge shortage of them what could it mean is that we have more drivers in Ireland that can build more services for bus/coach operations across Ireland and also more delivery times with the cargo that trucks have schedule to deliver between shops across Ireland the whole subject covers theory questions and then practical work at a local driving school until ye have the exams finished 

if you have a medical condition that you can prove from the doctor you can be exempt from driving same with the eyesight if it’s not great
