UPDATE:

“As an update, the Township of Ocean Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit deployed three speed and traffic volume measuring devices along Bowne Road last week. We are currently awaiting the results of those studies before determining the appropriate next steps. In addition, we are reviewing available crash data for the roadway to ensure our evaluation is based on a comprehensive analysis of all relevant information. Once all necessary data has been collected and analyzed, we will consult with the Township Engineer to review our findings and formulate any recommendations. We will also brief the Chief of Police, Mayor, Township Council, and Township Manager regarding the results of our evaluation and any recommended course of action.”
