Hi Super Supporters!

Firstly I would like to wish you, and everyone close to you well during this current strange and uncertain global situation that we find ourselves in.

Although there is a lockdown in the United Kingdom and many countries around the world, the campaign is continuing. Some things have had to change and many events and plans that I had coming up within the next few months have unfortunately, but necessarily had to be cancelled or postponed.

I have been planning a big period of action on one of the decision makers for the last six months or so, which I spoke about in the last update. This wasn’t just online action, it was going to be much more, which is why it’s being postponed for now due to the lockdown, but I will keep you up to date on when it will recommence. It will still take place and hopefully this year, but we need it to be the biggest and most effective that it can be, whilst making sure that we all take care. :)

Other News - Decision Makers!
I have meetings coming up towards the end of April with two decision makers that I haven’t met yet! I was going to postpone to instead meet them in person, however, due to everything being so uncertain and for just the sake of a picture with them outside their HQ, it’s much more important to actually start this conversation with them, so I’m going to push for virtual meetings.

This week I had a positive second meeting (virtual!) with Boots, we discussed future steps and developments. It’s great that despite our current situation they are still keen to engage with me about the campaign and speak about what is happening next.

Award
I was nominated and shortlisted for the Climate Coalition’s Green Heart Hero Award for Individual Inspiration. I was beyond thrilled to be announced as the winner of the category at the awards night on March 9th at Westminster – it was an incredible night!

Action going forward
Although the main campaign action has been postponed for now, there are other ways that you can take action, which are listed on the main campaign page! These include sharing the petition, starting conversations and posting a picture of yourself on social media holding a sign.
