In 1987, Cannon Films release the film "Masters of the Universe", starring Dolph Lundgren, Frank Langella, Billy Barty, Courteney Cox and Meg Foster.  While the film was not a success at the box office, it has since gained a cult following after its release on home video.  The film has also been released on DVD and Blu-Ray over the past several years, including a Region Free Blu-Ray release by Umbrella Entertainment, but the film has yet to have a new Special Edition release on both DVD and on Blu-Ray from Amazon MGM Studios, which currently holds the movie's home video rights.

We, the fans, would like to see Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer release a Special Edition of the film in 2027 for its 40th anniversary and to include brand new Bonus Features, such as:

Full screen 4:3 "windowboxed" picture format from the film's VHS release

Widescreen 1:85 "letterboxed" picture format from the film's theatrical release

Audio Commentaries with Cast members from the film, such as Dolph Lundgren (He-Man), Frank Langella (Skeletor), Chelsea Field (Teela), Courteney Cox (Julie Winston), Robert Duncan McNeill (Kevin Corrigan), Anthony De Longis (Blade), Meg Foster (Evil-Lyn), and more

Audio Commentaries with Crew members from the film, such as writer David Odell and special effects supervisor Richard Edlund

Vintage Making Of/Behind The Scenes Featurettes

Deleted Scenes, including the longer farewell scene between Julie, Kevin, He-Man, Teela and Man-At-Arms before Gwildor sends Julie and Kevin home

With the upcoming "Masters of the Universe" film set for its theatrical release in 2026, we, the fans, would like to see Amazon MGM Studios release a new 40th Anniversary/Special Edition of the original 1987 "Masters of the Universe" film in 2027 for fans to watch.
