Hi neighbors, 

Karene and I have been working with our ANC representative, Carol Grunewald, to get more traction on this issue. The crosswalk across Nebraska Ave at 31st Street remains dangerous, especially after the recent bus line changes.

Good news: Carol successfully added this topic to the upcoming ANC3/4G meeting, and DDOT representative Christophe Wassmer will be there to listen and respond.

• Time: Meeting starts at 6:30pm; our topic is scheduled for 8pm

The more of us who join the more effective we can be at driving change. We want to highlight that:

• This is the only intersection across Nebraska for the 3.3 mile length without a stop sign or signal, from Oregon Ave to Foxhall Road. 
• The intersection is even busier and more dangerous given the new bus routes.
• Traffic to the new Maret fields has increased risk for pedestrians.
• The flashing lights on the yield sign are broken and no longer light up.
