Major's case had been assigned to a detective. Who was able to confirm that Major was in South Carolina.
After talking to our local shelter we learned of the possibility that Major may be a girl since he his stomach is fully smooth. My family and I never had a ferret before and didnt know what spaying/nuetering entails.
(6/21/22)The people who currently allegedly have Major say that they found a ferret in East Brunwick, and is a 1 and 1/2 year old female. They sent me 2 photos in contrast to the plethora of photos and videos I sent of Major. Due to my declining Mental Health State from this situatuation I hastely decided from those two pictures that their ferret was not Major.
(6/23/22)After Examining the photos I asked the people allegedly with Major to send a video because i believe the two pictures sent were inconsistent. They then declined saying I already agreed that this wasn't my ferret.
Soon after, we found the Facebook from the people who my Neighbor's son gave Major to. The post had clear pictures of Major. If this post is how they got their ferret then it is definitely Major.
(6/24/22) The Detective said that because I already agreed that the pictures didn't match, that he's closing the case because he is not going to South Carolina nor is he sending the SC police there. He told me to move on and advised me to stop contacting them or else they may try to report me for harassment too.
My next steps are to see what other legal action I can pursue. I will always be searching for Major but I feel myself declining and started having panic attacks for the first time in years.
Major has been with me through the peak of the pandemic and through the enormous loss I went through earlier this year when someone very close to me passed away too soon.
I don't know who's lying or where Major is but all I want is to see him again.
