Safety update!!!

Health and Safety notice for Whitby area ⚠️

As you may be aware, the swing bridge in Whitby town centre has been closed to both vehicles and pedestrians for several days due to a mechanical fault.

Over the weekend, North Yorkshire Police have received reports of people attempting to climb over the bridge. This poses a serious risk to both themselves and others.

Please do not attempt to climb the bridge under any circumstances while repairs are ongoing.

They ask all members of the public to use alternative routes when travelling, whether on foot or by vehicle.
