Swing Bridge Update

Whitby Swing Bridge will be closed from 6pm tomorrow, Tuesday 30 June to 2am on Wednesday 1 July while we carry out urgent works try to solve issues with the bridge.

A shuttle bus will run between 6pm and midnight tomorrow to transport from both sides of the bridge.

This work follows an emergency closures to keep people and vehicles safe because the two sides of the bridge have not shut as they should. 

The bridge is currently open to pedestrians and vehicles.
