Unfortunately, Lyft doesn't really pay enough to drivers.
 
In March 2022, the gas rate in California was almost 2.50 to 3 dollars, but right now it is 5 to 6 dollars (octane 91), other expenses like oil change and auto parts, car maintenance and other things go up but, lyft pay same rate to drivers.
 
Lyft increase riders cost but decreased the driver's wage.

Living expenses go up every day but we drivers make the same money. Is it true? Are we not humans?

Also, they grab an average 50% of each ride and it's a lot for them because we drivers work hard and pay for gas, oil, parts, time and more...then half go for them. Some case's they grab 60% to 70%.

Also, lyft doesn't require to passenger to put their real name on the app and unfortunately driver can not verify and know who is in the car. Some passenger put their dog name and pictures.
Lyft, Always listen to passenger if they complain and immediately deactivate drive first then ask drivers follow the rules, even if it's passenger fault.

If passenger do carjacking or kill the driver then lyft does not pay anything.

Lyft is charging riders wait time fees — but drivers aren’t reaping the rewards

Rideshare is a one way game that always lyft and uber are winners and next passenger but drivers always are loser.
