I wanted to highlight a few comments and first-hand stories and the impact of Eid not being a recognized holiday.

 "I have never missed Eid, but it has made me lose grades... It would make me so happy to have just a few days to celebrate with my family without having to worry about exams or assignments." -Yasmine

"A time I had to celebrate Eid later in the day was when I had to take a test that couldn’t be postponed. I talked with my teacher and explained that this was a religious holiday but she told me that I had to either take the test or do another assignment that was harder than the test itself...Having to choose between exams and religious holidays shouldn’t be a thing. We take a month off to celebrate Christmas. They can’t give Muslim students a few days, even a week to observe their religious holiday?" -Habiba
