The dictatorship of Ortega and his wife Murillo turns Nicaragua into a giant concentration camp

Since this petition was initiated, the number of persons killed has gone from 130 to more than 500, according to the Nicaraguan Association for the Defense of Human Rights.  There are an estimated 1,000 missing, some of whom have been found dead, so the fear is that those who are unaccounted for will eventually be found in mass graves.  Since the petition was initiated, more than 30,000 nicaraguans have had to flee into exile, and the reports of horrible, widespread tortures have been verified by multiple human rights organizations, ranging from the Organization of American States' own to Amnesty International.  If you are in the U.S. or the European Union please consider contacting your elected representatives to have sanctions against the Government of Nicaragua approved.  This is not only a collapse of political rights, but a humanitarian tragedy.  The international community can help stop it.  Let's do it!
