Update: 23rd March 2019. Email to HSI.org (Wendy Higgins)
With thanks to one of the petition signatories (Jean) for her suggestion to contact HSI (Humane Society International) to ask if they can help the dire stray dog situation in Romania. I contacted HSI through a form on their UK web site a little while ago showing them the signature response from the petition, it was Jean's idea that showing the amount of signatures gained may help with their thought process (interest) and possibly 'spur' them to provide HSI support, but I have not had any reply. Why, I don't know?
Bearing this in mind I am now sending an email to Wendy Higgins personally who is one of the main administrators for HSI in the UK, hoping there will be a response. A copy of the email I sent can be seen below. If I get a response I will post it here in an update as soon as I do. I would also like to sincerely thank EVERYONE who has supported this vital petition so far, and also those who sign in the future!!!!

Dear Wendy
I started a petition concerning the mass killing of Romanian stray dogs in March 2018. There are over 18,000 signatures so far and climbing. My question is:
Could you please help this petition in any way you can?
I also realise that you do so much GREAT work on behalf of animal welfare across the globe. But do you have any plans at all for extending into Eastern Europe (Romania) in the foreseeable future please?
