We request that Gaston County Commissioners approve the following:

1) Lower the tax rate levied to a rate below 60 cents per $100 of evaluation.

2) A lower budget where appropriate to as close to the Revenue Netural Rate as possible or lower.

As a result of a poor economy and rising inflation, Gaston County residents are already struggling to provide for their families. Additional tax burden would create an unfair and undue tax burden to everyone in Gaston County. The County Commissioners have the responsibility to protect the tax payer. Therefore, we request the Commissioners do the right thing and lower the tax rate.
