If anyone wonders why they should sign this petition, they should read the posted comments of why people have signed.  Many people have commented that this is long overdue, that overpopulation is causing the suffering of unwanted animals, and that we can't control the issue unless we have an affordable option for spays/neuters.

Thank you for your comments and for sharing this petition. Today we are at almost 500 signatures and hopefully it will keep growing.

There's been some backlash as well - reasons why this will fail but I think as a community we can come together and find a solution. We can find the money. We can find the time. We can find the other resources and ideas because we're willing to put forth the effort. The risk is too great to not try.
