First, we'd like to send out our thanks to everyone who has joined our call for change so far. Yes, we have changed our petition and we will explain why below. 

Why have we changed our petition from legalizing recreational cannabis to medical only? We are looking at what we can reasonably achieve. We believe that fully realizing the medical program in Louisiana is the best first step to take. Unfortunately, a petition does best when a single issue is brought forward... which is our biggest driver for the change. 

Will we bring about another petition for recreational cannabis? Yes, we plan on putting another petition forward soon. Stay connected with us on Twitter and Instagram @geaux4change for more details when we have finalized our plans moving forward. 

We will be giving another update very soon about our plans moving forward. As always, please share the petition. We cannot do this alone. While we should not face as much resistance with our change to the petition, and we are fully capable of bringing a lawsuit to make this change happen, sharing the petition is the best course of action.
