Dear fellow LACMA Lover,

Thank you for joining more than 1400 concerned citizens who have signed the petition urging the Los Angeles County Supervisors to reconsider their approval of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for LACMA's redevelopment plan.

Today we begin a new chapter in our fight to save L.A.’s encyclopedic public art museum, with announcement of the launch of Save LACMA (http://www.ourlacma.org), a registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation formed to amplify the voice of the community to help steer the museum’s future, not just with the proposed Wilshire-straddling new building project, but in all its change and growth to come. 

As the founders of the LACMA Lovers League, we are proud to join with other concerned Angelenos to volunteer our time as board members, taking this campaign to a new level under the Save LACMA nonprofit banner.

It is engaged citizens like you, who have already asked the County Supervisors to reconsider their plans for the museum, who Save LACMA has been created to serve, and we look forward to meeting you at LACMA-focused events in the near future.
