We must rally to maintain local control of our neighborhood and preserve our Point Dume Community Services District (PDCSD), which the Los Angeles County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) plans to terminate as soon as July 2021. 

The PDCSD was established in 1985, with the original purpose of creating, maintaining, and managing the Malibu Community Center and Cameron Park, located at what is now Malibu Elementary School. 

Today, the PDCSD is actively pursuing bringing additional valuable public resources and services to our neighborhood, such as fire safety and prevention, a community garden, and a health and wellness center, amongst other possibilities. If the County moves forward with their plan to disband the PDCSD, we will have significantly diminished local control over any future neighborhood projects.
