The Alliance of LA Parents continues its lawsuit against LA Public Health, citing first amendment violations and lack of transparency on its mandates. And, "In a development that will surprise no one who's been following the case, the County is engaging in MORE motion practice, again forcing me to incur expenses to respond. I've lost count of how many motions their taxpayer funded BigLaw firm has filed", per lead attorney Julie Hamill.
In layman's terms, they're saddling LA Parents with more costly motions to prevent them from pressing forward with their case. This means they know they will lose the case, and instead want to discourage LA Parents.
That's why we're looking for your help with the costs incurred in this lawsuit, to make sure both LA Public Health and the Board of Supervisors know we will not be intimidated or discouraged.
PLEASE DONATE TO KEEP THIS CASE ALIVE
Meanwhile, please also let the LA County Board of Supervisors know what you think about them funding this case against ordinary working parents.
If you'd like to know more about the case or how you can get involved, you can reach Julie through laparents.org or email her at julie@juliehamill-law.com.
