Los Angeles City Council Members Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo must resign now!

De León has told several media outlets he is refusing to step down, after racist comments he made in a leaked audio recording released by the L.A. Times. 

De León's Council District 14 has the highest density of the Los Angeles homeless population, where five people per day die in Skid Row alone.

Holding up the business of the City of Los Angeles and disallowing closure to communities affected by this disgraceful conduct, by refusing to resign, shows how De León's interests do not concern the people of Los Angeles.

This arrogance will not be tolerated and demands for resignation will not cease.

The same goes for Councilman Gil Cedillo who should also resign immediately! Our city must heal and cannot begin the process unless you are gone! You both know better and the example you set is not what future generations should be taught about race relations!

The citizens of Los Angeles demand your immediate resignation now!
