Today has been a bit of a knockback. There have been a few setbacks with getting the London Safe Pods concept out there, and I won't pretend that it hasn't been difficult. Like anyone trying to build something from nothing, there are moments where you question yourself.

But then I opened the petition.

I started reading your messages, and suddenly all those doubts disappeared.

I watched the incredible video that a young man took the time to make explaining why he believes in this project. The fact that someone would dedicate their own time to creating something to support this vision honestly means more to me than I could ever put into words.

I also read the messages from the wonderful mums who have tragically lost their children to violence. Despite the unimaginable pain they have lived through, they have still chosen to stand behind this project, sharing their own stories and explaining why they believe something like this could help others. Those messages have brought me to tears, and I will carry them with me throughout this journey.

To the incredible lady who bravely shared her own experience of being violently attacked, thankyou from the bottom of my heart. It takes so much courage to speak about something so traumatic, and the fact that you took the time to support this project despite what you've been through means more than you'll ever know and to everyone else who has shared their own experiences, whether you've been a victim yourself, lost someone you love, witnessed violence, or simply believe we should be doing more to protect vulnerable people, thankyou. Every single story reminds me that this isn't just an idea. These are real lives, real families, and real experiences.

To every person who has signed the petition, shared it, offered constructive criticism, suggested improvements, or simply believed in what we're trying to achieve... thankyou. Every signature gives me more determination to keep going.

What's next?
The next stage will be launching a GoFundMe to help move this project forward professionally.

The aim is to work alongside a CAD designer to transform the concept into proper technical drawings and explore realistic manufacturing options, costs and materials. We want to move from AI concept images to professional plans that engineers, organisations and government bodies can properly evaluate.

The GoFundMe will also help us organise our London Safe Pods Community Day on 25th May 2027, where supporters, charities, professionals and members of the public can come together to discuss the project, help shape its future, continue building support for the petition, and hopefully demonstrate a life size prototype as we progress.

I know this isn't going to happen overnight. Every worthwhile project takes time, determination and people willing to believe in something before it exists.

I truly believe that if we continue pushing together, one day we'll be standing in front of the right charities, organisations and decision makers with a professional proposal for a pilot scheme.

I won't let today's setbacks from unsupportive people define this journey because if this project gives just one more child, one more young person, or one more vulnerable person the chance to make it home safely, then every setback, every late night, every criticism and every challenge will have been worth it.
