Global warming will become unstoppable in just 11 years time. And it’s our job to make sure this doesn’t happen. The amount of litter on our streets is appalling, and I couldn’t help but get frustrated with the amount of litter I saw, when walking down my street or through my local park. I decided this wasn’t something I could ignore, but at the same time I realised I couldn’t solve this problem in my own. I would like to write to Bromley council, to start a monthly litter picking day, where everyone goes out on a certain day every month and picks up litter on their streets. This doesn’t mean you have to pick up big sacks full of rubbish, but simply three handfuls of litter, to be clear this doesn’t mean use your hands it’s just a rough guide. Eg: a handful of cans, a handful or wrappers, and a handful of bottles.
