Lobby National Express to have All 035 Services route via Ringwood
The Issue
As a regular commuter, I have been directly affected by the recent changes in the National Express 035 service that often bypasses Ringwood. These alterations have resulted in significant inconvenience to many in our community who rely on this service for travel.
Despite Ringwood being a mere five-minute stop, most 035 services now skip our town altogether, with the ones stopping now going via Heathrow, which lengthens journey times and strips locals of their direct service to London.
While it is great to get a direct Heathrow service, this petition is to ask National Express to have all 035's alight at Ringwood, so the community has a choice of service.
Ringwood does not have a railway station, making the coach service a vital transportation link for commuters not only from Ringwood but also from surrounding areas like Verwood and Fordingbridge. Local residents depend on this service for commuting to work, visiting family, or attending essential appointments in London. The ability to have a direct and reliable service is not merely a convenience—it is becoming a necessity for our community.
We urge National Express to reconsider the scheduling and routing of their 035 services. By having all 035 routes route via Ringwood, National Express would not only enhance the connectivity for our town but would also cater to the needs of a wider commuting population. This change would reflect a commitment to serving the needs of smaller towns, like ours, that are often left behind in national transit planning.
There are numerous residents like myself who are ready to advocate for this change because we understand the importance of having efficient public transport options available to us. Please join me in urging National Express to make this change and provide a regular direct 035 service to London that stops at Ringwood.
Sign this petition to support our request for a direct and frequent coach service from Ringwood to London.
