Individuals bringing knives out on nights out in our city is completely unacceptable, people's lives do not deserve to be lost whilst going out to enjoy themselves and have fun, because a number of terrible people think they have the right to use weapons to hurt people and sometimes tragically take another's life. Obviously searches that take place on arrival into clubs are not thorough enough, because this should never have happened or be allowed to happen again and I feel metal detectors are the only way to ensure an incident like this does not happen again in our city.
