Below are updates for Maan gram panchayat meeting at Megapolis -
A meeting between HIRWA members under #LiveableHinjawadi initiative and Maan Grampancyat representatives held on 17thMarch 2018 at Megapolis society under the guidance of honorable MP Ms. Supriya Sule . Zilla Parishad member Mr. Shankar Mandekar & village development officer Mr. B.R. Patil attended the meeting. 50 plus residents attended the meeting and felicitated gram panchayat representatives. Residents also thanked Mr. Pandurang Ozarkar for his contributions; however he could not attend the felicitation ceremony. Below are the points discussed -
1. Garbage collection & segregation– As per GP, township developer should provide dry and wet garbage pits with compost. However they mentioned they will do their best to support garbage collection activity and requested the townships to start segregation. GP will also look into feasibility of providing separate dustbins per flat.
2. Benches for Societies – 50 number of benches for Megapolis should be available within few days as same is in tender phase.
3. External Road Cleaning – As per GP, the responsibility belongs to MIDC, however if MIDC permits of requests additional staff can be deployed by Gram Panchayat.
4. Nullah Cleaning – Should be developed, cleaned and covered by MIDC. As per GP builder should also cooperate in legalizing the hawkers and shops allotted.
5. Road on Street Lights – Request for big multi-halogen light at MP circle – As per GP it can be done, if MIDC allots.
6. Property Tax Registration & Collection – Grampanchayat has hired required manpower. Booth to be set up at Megapolis societies.
7. Footpath – comes under MIDC and MIDC should develop it.
8. Watering plants outside roads- A proposal to use STP treated water for plants. GP can help in building storage tanks etc.
Mr. Patil said that all these points will be put forward to Grampanchayat committee in a meeting to be held on 21st March 2018. Next meeting with residents will be held next month, Mr. Patil also suggested that MIDC representatives should attend next meeting.
