The Wakasa Memorial Committee was delighted to connect with community members in the Delta and Salt Lake City Communities on the topic of the stewardship of the monument and the critical need for professional involvement. We are so excited to keep in touch and build upon our relationships going forward.
We were disappointed that no Topaz Museum Board members attended any of the meetings, but thrilled to gain the benefit of the ideas and feelings of the community.
The two Utah meetings were much more like town halls where the participants were given the opportunity to express themselves. This happened, not because of a change in the planned structure of the meetings, but because the majority of participants WANTED to have a chance to speak and to be heard.
The last community outreach meeting is Tuesday, August 30th at 2p HT / 5p PT / 8p ET. Here is the link to register:

We encourage you to register and attend the meeting to show the Topaz Museum Board that people in the community DO CARE about this.
We are over 1,000 signatures!!! Thank you all so much for your support! Can we get to 1,500?
