So many times as parents, and teachers we want to blame the current principals at our schools on issues not being handled correctly, or not being handled at all. Feeling as if we are being ignored. Now don’t get me wrong we do have people in these positions that don’t belong there, but that is beside the point. We have to step back and think of who these individuals report to. Principals are no longer given the authority to run their schools as they see fit. Our current part-time superintendent and ESC employees are to blame. Through all my research we should not even call them ESC administrators, they should be referred to as the” Gestapo”. I say this because they rule by fear. Why else would teachers and principals call me instead of going to the board? Because they to fear for their jobs. Case in point one of our district schools has an employee that looks at inappropriate adult material at school while teaching in a class full of students. When reported to the ESC or “Gestapo” they refuse to look into it, saying it is not an issue. How is this not an issue? Is LISD in that big of a need for teachers that they will let them get by with this, so they don’t have another of many job openings in our district? The board needs to stop looking at all the positive things we have, and focus on the problems at hand. Many board members have no real clue of what is going on every day in their own districts, due to the information they receive from the ESC “Gestapo” everything comes out smelling of roses when in actuality it smells a lot like shit! My advice to our board, not that they will listen is to take time and talk to the real soldiers on the battle field the teachers and principals. Give our principals more authority to run the schools you appointed them to and stop letting people sitting behind a desk be the puppet master. Our district is imploding due to the faults of the ESC “Gestapo”. We have too many people wasting our tax payers dollars on made up positions. Put the money back in our schools pockets not in the pockets of crooks. Instead of having one principal in each elementary school, has a principal and an assistant principal, because one person cannot possible do this by themselves. I don’t mind paying more tax dollars for teachers, and principals, but I do mind filling the pockets of common criminals. So many times I myself get mad at school principals, but honestly most of the time who I should be mad at is our current administration. We are a top heavy district, and waste more money on office personnel with crazy job titles. We have many great facilities and schools, and if you ask DR. Mack it is because of his wonderful part-time superintendent “Hitler”. But sorry to tell you this Dr. Mack, he may have gotten new schools built, but that is not what makes a great school district. We can have all new schools and classrooms, but in order to make them a school you need qualified teachers, and principals to teach our students. They also need to be given more control to make better decisions than Dr. Wilcox “Hitler” sitting at his lake house. Quit tying the hands of our principals. Principals quit doing what you know is wrong, and do the right things for your school. Change is coming with our board. We have seen that in the newest board member election. They now see that they can be replaced. We need board members who are more active in their own districts instead of just showing up for a meeting, eating lunch, breakfast, and dinner. This position is not a social status it takes a huge amount of blood, sweat, and tears to do the right thing for the schools in your district. We will do what you told us Dr. Mack and that is “If you’re not happy with what we are doing vote in someone else”. You do not get to choose who sits on this board, the people in the community do. My advice to all administration who is breaking laws every day and wasting tax payer’s dollars. Quit now before I am elected to the board or I will make you prove to the community why your position needs to be eliminated. I have always been told that we all can be replaced, and this is a phrase that you need to learn. I will help clean house at the ESC “Gestapo”, and bring positive results back to our district one pink slip at a time. Our teachers, and principals are not given the respect or the ability to do their jobs due to the fact you tie their hands behind their backs. Thank You, Jason Bates
