Petition updateImprove Safety for Cyclists and Drivers in Mount Diablo State Park by installing Solid Double Yellow lines on appropriate Blind Curves to reduce collisions between bicycles and/or motorists.Mount Diablo Cyclists (MDC) met on 12/10/15 in Walnut Creek

Bike DanvilleCA, United States
Dec 12, 2015
The standing room-only group included: representatives of Mount Diablo State Park, California Department of Parks and Recreation, and California Highway Patrol; representatives of State Senator Steve Glazer, and State Assemblywomen Baker and Bonilla; representatives of East Bay Bike, and Diablo Spokesmen, and many other cycling friends of Mount Diablo. The preliminary Road Striping and Signage Improvement study addressing the paved roads of Mt. Diablo has been completed. We were assured by Danita Rodriguez, Superintendent of the Bay Area District, DPR, that funding is available to complete the project within one year, according to the initial timeline. MDC is already working to shorten that timeline. Pedaling forward, MDC volunteers are needed to work with MDSP staff in our new Partnership groups. We plan to address many concerns that affect our enjoyment of the mountain, including Roads, Signage, Education, and more. Please reach out to Mount Diablo Cyclists Facebook page and send a message to your Leadership Team. You may address it to: Al Kalin, John Gallagher or Gregg Sorensen. Let us know what you’d like to do, or help with, and we will be in touch. Thanks for your support, and Ride Safely. Here's the link to the 14sec video:
