After being backed into a corner, with no where else to turn, yesterday MP Bill Shorten attempted to speak about Nic during Question Time in parliament on our behalf!

We must be clear, this is not about politics, it is about Nic's safety and wellbeing.  We were left with no other option but to take this course of action because no one would listen to us.  It is unfortunate that you have to take a personal, family story to the front of the parliament  to hope to be taken seriously!

The Prime Minister and Speaker rudely judged our son and family and and dismissed Bill Shorten and Nic as a prop for his political gain.  Please see the attached YouTube clip at just after the 56 minute mark for the discussion and questions around Nic and the NDIS.

What hope do we have when this is the response from the Prime Minister of our country?  Shame on you PM!  We are hurt and deeply saddened by your behaviour.

Nicholas is a human being and deserves better from the leader of our country.

Last night we were up until after midnight writing an email to the PM explaining Nic's challenges and level of support he requires to live any kind of ordinary life and to be kept safe.

Let's hope he respects our family enough to take a serious look at the mistreatment and contempt with which the NDIS has treated Nic, and ensure the Minister Reynolds and the NDIS are taken to task over their mistreatment and Nic's support level is no longer dismissed and ignored.

Please continue to sign and share Nic's story through this petition.  We desperately hope for a resolution soon as the risks to Nic have increased - he is out of funding!

Thank you for your support, it is most humbly appreciated.

Tam and Rob Bennett
