Back in 2019, as part of SUDS pledge to get elected we said we’d fight for the streetlights to be switched back on!!! As a SUDS Councillor think it’s important to get ourselves heard and let LCC know that we do want the street lights back over night, In 2016 the County Council controversially decided to turn off 68,000 street lights, more than half of countys streeet lights to save the establishment £1.7million (Source: Lincolnshirereporter.co.uk 21/01/2019) In recent reports it was quoted from Lincolnshire County Councillor Richard Davies has said that “aren’t particularly concerned” well I, myself am very concerned by the lights being turned off at night, although crime figures reported by Lincolnshire police haven’t risen, I know that crime has in Skegness (My home Town) but I would like to make it known if everybody feels the same as me.
