This petition closed 7 months ago officially. At that time there were no suspects, there were no answers, and there were no arrests. Fast forward to today and we finally have someone who has come forward and admitted to carrying out at least one of the brutal attacks in front of witnesses and one of the victims. In admitting the attack he provided details only he would know, remembered the clothing the victim wore, and the exact place the incident took place. This man's name is Timothy Box and he has been arrested over 30 times in his lifetime - with some of those arrests for violent crimes. He is currently on probation for an unrelated crime. Since admitting the attack, members of the community have had to watch him walk up and down the street, entering businesses, and harassing people every single day. Sometimes he tells them about the attack. Many times he is taken by police only to return the next day. So this is what we are faced with. A man who says he carried out at least one of the Oak Lawn attacks is at the time of this writing walking up and down Cedar Springs Rd. He is not currently wanted for a crime, he has not been named a suspect, and he has not had his probation revoked. What has to be done? What can we do? Are we to be forced to drive by this man sitting on our street everyday without answers, without closure, and without action? If you see Timothy Box, please call 911 if you notice anything suspicious.
