Re: Dream Homes Burned Down by Lightning Strikes

Respected Secretary,

In the past few weeks, Frisco has witnessed increased lightning strikes on the houses. Three houses in the last 4 weeks. Loss of millions of dollars. Some stats below for your reference.

Texas is no 1 on lightning strikes and amounts to a sum of 41,914,516 lightning events recorded in the year 2021.

Collin County tops the list of all counties in Texas, for Lightning, Hail and Storm damages as per Allstate claims data between 2008 - 2018.

Frisco is the 3rd richest big cities in the U.S.

Now we as residence of Frisco need a better protection infrastructure, particularly on the Lightning / Thunderstorm.

We request you and the dedicated City of Frisco development services to research the data, look for best practices within and outside of United States and strengthen the code at a community level to deploy Lightning infrastructure. Make it mandatory for all existing and new communities.

Please do the needful.

Residence of Frisco: Sign and communicate the urgency to develop and implement a Lightning infrastructure at the community or at city level.
