We, the selectees of the DV-2026 Diversity Visa program, along with thousands of legal immigration advocates worldwide, are calling for immediate action regarding the sudden and unjust suspension (pause) of DV-2026 visa processing.

Winning the Diversity Visa lottery is a life-changing opportunity that individuals and families prepare for years in advance, spending significant financial resources on medical exams, translation of documents, and administrative fees. To freeze or delay this process arbitrarily is to shatter the dreams of law-abiding individuals who have done everything right according to U.S. immigration laws.

By law, the U.S. Department of State is mandated to process and issue these visas before the fiscal year deadline of September 30, 2026. Any prolonged delay or suspension functions as a de facto denial, causing permanent harm to selectees who will lose their chance forever once the deadline passes.

We urge the U.S. Department of State and the Bureau of Consular Affairs to:
