Lift the Ban on Dogs at Mavesyn Ridware Village Hall Grounds

The Issue

My family, including our dog Daisy, enjoy frequent visits to the peaceful park and grounds of Mavesyn Ridware Village Hall. It's an area where we can safely exercise and train Daisy. Whenever there are other visitors, we respect the peace and quiet by offering to put Daisy on a lead. The area is a communal hub, frequently used for gatherings and after-school meetups. The outdoor space is enjoyed by everyone in our community, an evident intention when the Village Hall was first built.

However, the recent ban on dogs interferes with our ability to enjoy these grounds as a full family. This ban impedes not just us, but many other dog-owning families from enriching experiences in the Village Hall grounds.

United Kingdom is known as a nation of dog lovers with over 51% of adults owning a pet, a third of which are dogs according to the Pet Food Manufacturer’s Association. This means that a significant number of people stand to be affected by this ban in one way or another.

We urge the Mavesyn Ridware Village Hall Committee to reconsider the dog ban. Please sign this petition to support the lift of the dog ban at the Village Hall grounds and bring back the communal integrity we hold dear.
