I’ve just heard the sad news that Life Leisure plan to shut their crèche facilities in April due to a fall in demand following covid. I don’t work for and am not affiliated with Life Leisure in any way but I really want to save the crèches!

I’ve got to know the amazing ladies who work at the Romiley site and am devastated for them and the loss of the life-line this facility offers parents like myself. Mothers in particular have had an incredibly tough few years with support hard to access. A chance to have your child cared for whilst you exercise and do something for yourself is so beneficial. Life Leisure offered this in a way that was far more affordable than other gyms but the service has never been well advertised.

This decision seems shortsighted based on the fact that anxiety around covid is lessening and interest in playgroups and mum and baby groups is on the increase.

My questions to you are…
1. Did you even know that Life Leisure memberships included a free crèche?

2. Now you know, would you consider a membership in order to make use of it? (If not, could you say why?)

3. Would you help me get the word out to save these facilities and the staff that work there?
