Dear Friends of Sea-Eye,

By the end of 2023, more than 117 million people worldwide had fled their homes. Around 40 per cent of them were children and young people. As a civilian sea rescue organisation, we want to make sure they get the help and protection they desperately need. And you can support us in this mission!

It is important to us that the needs of children and young people are explicitly taken into account on board our ships:

Rescue from drowning: We have special children's life jackets on board to ensure the safety of even the youngest children. In the event of an evacuation, children have priority and are taken to safety first.

Games on board: To keep children smiling during the crossing, our crew organises activities such as painting, reading, board games and singing.

Fresh clothes: The escape across the Mediterranean takes place in extreme conditions. The children's and other survivors' clothes are heavily soiled by salt water and fuel spills. On board our ships, they are able to wash and receive fresh clothes.

Food and drink: Many children go for days without food or water during their escape. We provide them with food and water after their rescue.

Medical care: We work closely with our partner organisation German Doctors to ensure that all those rescued receive comprehensive medical care.

Together we can make a difference! Your support makes our operations in the Mediterranean possible. Every donation counts to save lives!

Yours,

Gorden Isler, Chairman Sea-Eye e. V.
