At last, I have some good news for owners of select 2018 LG TVs: AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support is coming to your televisions by October 2020!

According to an updated support document, AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support is coming to UK and SK series 2018 LCD models, and all (B8 through Z8 series) 2018 OLED models. 

While this is fantastic news and a partial victory for us, let's not let LG off the hook just yet—other manufacturers have brought these features to TVs going back as far as 2016.

The fact that the N/A part of the table in the support document lists specific 2017 models makes me hopeful that LG will do the right thing and will, at the very least, update those models down the road as well.

Keep letting LG know we still want this in pre-2018 models!
