We've just hit 1000 signatures which is tremendous - thanks everyone for signing and sharing! I'm pleased to report that the Crofton Park ward councillors have added their names to the petition, so it's really great to have them on board and supporting us. The strength of feeling within the community about this is huuuuge and it's been really heartening to see so many people pulling together. I'm loving the posters that people have put up on the fence, and there was even some graffiti added tonight (see photo) which I probably shouldn't condone but - pah! - it can't be illegal because it's an illegal fence innit?!

I know Lewisham's Planning Team have been inundated with emails (well done everyone!!) and they promptly visited the site, which is good, but as things stand the fence is still up and the TPO is still provisional, so do keep spreading the word and encouraging people to email David Syme and sign this petition so that the Council are fully apprised of the strength of residents' feelings about this treasured tree-filled pocket of green.
