Thanks again everyone for continuing to sign and share this petition. Let's keep it going and don't forget to email David Syme at Lewisham Council (david.syme@lewisham.gov.uk) to give your reasons for wanting to see the TPO made permanent.
I emailed Lewisham Council today asking for an update, but I haven't heard anything back as yet.
Over the last couple of days I've been in contact with some people who have experience of these matters and the message I'm getting is that it could be a long, messy wrangle. We really do all need to keep an eye on what's going on at the site as, I'm told, developers are willing to take the (relatively small) hit of planning breaches as the benefits to them far outweigh the cost.
I'm meeting with a core group of people who have local knowledge and planning experience next week to discuss and plan next steps. We'll then likely form an action group so that everyone who wants to can get involved. Will keep you posted!
In the meantime, keep spreading the word - and don't forget to keep your beady eyes on any to-ings and fro-ings behind the big, ugly green fence!
