Hi everyone,

This morning, a student who sent their opinion to New Zealand Herald and I had a discussion about this matter with the Deputy Principals Mrs Kerrie Holmes and Mr Cornell Van Kralingen. They have provided more information about this matter, such as that they believe the program will be more secure for the actual examination, as well as devices will be provided for those who doesn't have compatible ones. However, the inconsistency between the two exams and the problem with typing is still issues that will not be fixed. They believe that we as student should trust them with this decision, but I'm still rather sceptical about it. They also stated that if you are a student or parent, feel free to contact them with any questions. Their e-mails will be on the school website for if you wish to contact them: http://www.bdsc.school.nz/contact-us/staff-directory/
I understand that this petition might not change anything, so if you're signing please do not get your hopes up. Regardless, the petition will stay up, and please do comment your point of view if you don't mind your name being on the website.

An article has been published on New Zealand Herald regarding this situation. If you would like to read more, particularly from another student's point of view as well as NZQA representative and the principal Mrs Karen Brinsden's response before you decide to sign the petition, the link is disclosed. For those of you who signed, thank you for expressing your opinion :)

Cheers,
Chloe
