We all know the world is a scary place right now. And I think one thing we can all agree on is wanting our children safe. We are creating this petiton to show just how many of us can agree on one thing. In light of recent events with all the school shootings I think we can all agree we worry about this happening in our community. But how can we prevent this? How can we make sure this cant happen? The answer is simple we cant. But what we can do is be proactive! Have our first line of defense not just be a  locked door, because clearly that didn’t  matter in the most recent school shooting. A shooter was still able to breach an elementry school through the locked door. Our hearts go out to all the familys who have to suffer any loss just because they sent their child to school. Or any teacher/ staff member who had to give up their life because they came to work. This shouldn’t happen. So we are calling on our community for supprort and our police department SCPD for help! Lets try and get a police officer outside of every school. District wide.! We have already had an incident involving a gun in our high school last year.  And even though we now have metal detectors i’m sure we know its not enough. This petition will serve as an intent of change to our districts saftey measures reguarding personnel. We’re looking to increase security in our schools to prevent a violent attack where a locked door wasn’t proactive enough.  Lets keep our kids safe! Were not sure where to start but lets start here.

With Love,
